Practice begins the week of March 12^thand will be held on fields 1 & 2 at Cosmo Park.
Girls practices will be Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30pm to 7pm.
Boys practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

Lacrosse Officials Needed in Columbia!

The Mid Missouri Lacrosse League is seeking individuals to be trained as officials for the sport of lacrosse. Once trained you will be eligible to officiate Boys Youth and High School level lacrosse games in the state of Missouri. Officials are paid $40-$70.00 per game. Pay is based on experience. Must be 18 or older and out of high school.Mandatory Training includes:
Classroom Training – February 25, 2012, 9:00-4:00 @ the Armory, Columbia, MO On-Field Training will be March 10 in St. Louis, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Lacrosse is a Spring sport with games scheduled March thru early June. Columbia has 2 high school boys teams and hosts tournaments for youth leagues. League information can be found at www.columbialax.org

Mid Missouri Lacrosse League is extending an invitation to parents, and other interested volunteers, to attend both of our January 2012 Board meetings to learn about opportunities in our volunteer-run league and board. With the 2012 season rapidly approaching, we have several openings for committee participation. Making Mid Missouri lacrosse available for youth requires time, talent, and contribution from all! Walk in the Holiday Parade!

All MMLL players are invited to walk in the Holiday Parade, representing the Mid Missouri Lacrosse League.
Sunday, November 20, 2011
Line Up begins at 1:15pm – Players need to be at lineup site by 2:30pm in Section 4E (Find the map under our documents tab)
Wear a MMLL lacrosse jersey or t-shirt (if you own one)
Bring your stick (and any other equipment that you want to wear)
Bring a large bag of small candy (i.e., tootsie rolls, hard candy, bubble gum)
Members of all Columbia lacrosse leagues will be participating in the parade (MMLL, Hickman Boys, Rock Bridge Boys, Col Women’s Lacrosse, Mizzou Lacrosse.) We want to show them that we are a strong, growing program… from elementary thru college!

Registration for Winter Box Now Open

MMLL works to provide lacrosse learning and playing activities for youth throughout the year. When the temperatures drop outside, we move lacrosse INSIDE. The indoor playing area is called a box, as opposed to the open playing field of field lacrosse, so you’ll hear the term “Winter Box” used as we start playing indoors to escape the cold.

MMLL Winter Box Lacrosse is for boys and girls, grades 3-8, and for high school girls.

Cost: $40.00 per Youth Player (bring money to first session)

When: Sundays, October 30 thru December 18, 2011 (8 weeks)

Where: The MAC

Times:
3:00-4:00 pm Girls/Women’s lacrosse, Grades 3-12
4:00-5:00 pm Boys Youth, Grades 3-5
5:00-6:00 pm Boys Youth, Grades 6-8

First half of session will be skills development. Second half of session will be scrimmage play.

To Register: Complete the form below. A PDF file has also been circulated by email, you only need to complete one or the other.

Players must have the following in order to participate:
1. US Lacrosse Membership
• If you are a member, provide your membership number at the first practice or when registering. If you are not a member, click the US Lacrosse link on our Home Page to register with US Lacrosse, then provide your membership # at the first practice or when registering for winter box. Cost is $25.00 for youth, $35.00 for high school age.

2. Proper equipment
• Boys: Pads, helmet, stick, gloves, mouth guard, athletic cup.
• Girls: Goggles, stick, and mouth guard.

Suggested shoes for indoor box is indoor turf shoes or tennis shoes.
